Open Access and Copyright Policy
A. Open Access Policy
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives (JIP) is an open-access journal. All of its content is freely available to individuals and institutions at no charge, to support the wider global exchange of knowledge. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of articles, and use them for any other lawful, non-commercial purpose without prior permission from the publisher or the author, provided that the original article is properly cited.
B. Licensing
All articles published in JIP are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). Under this license, citing the original article is sufficient attribution.
For questions about the license, please email info@jippublication.com.
C. Author Rights
Authors who publish in JIP retain the copyright of their articles. Upon acceptance, authors grant TWR Book Publishing Services, the publisher of JIP, the exclusive right of first publication and a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in any medium or format. The journal makes the article publicly available immediately under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. No embargo applies, and no registration is required to read, download, or reuse any article.
As copyright holders, authors retain the following rights without needing to request permission from the publisher:
- to reproduce the article, in whole or in part, in their thesis or dissertation;
- to deposit the submitted version, the accepted manuscript, or the final published version in an institutional or subject repository or on a personal website, with no embargo;
- to reuse the article, including its figures and tables, in their own later works, including works published commercially; and
- to reproduce and distribute copies for teaching and internal institutional use.
In all cases, the original publication in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives must be cited.
Requests to use an article in ways not covered by the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, including commercial use, should be directed to the authors as copyright holders. The journal will forward any such requests it receives to the corresponding author.
These terms are formalized in the Author Agreement and License to Publish, which authors sign upon acceptance of their manuscript.
